Baci di dama noisettes
They were born in the early 19th century in the region of Alexandria. Legend has it that the name "Baci di Dama" originated from a love story. A chef from the royal family of Savoy created them in 1852 at the request of King Victor Emmanuel II. The king wanted a new confectionery to offer to an exceptional woman. It was from this that the chef drew his inspiration: the two parts of this specialty evoke two lips kissing.
